Good day , i had this stupid problem at my 88 Laredo MJ. I have a 4 L Renix. When the engine is hot or driving continuously for30-40 minutes , engine stop. After a 20-40 min break , engine starts. I read all that you describe before and i check all. What i find is that when the engine is not starting I don't have spark. Any way , after 1 moth of looking and changing including ECU , I discover that the problem came from Ignition Control Coil module. I hope that this information will help you .

Long time , no see! But in this time I work on my Comanche to put back on street! What I've done till now: - Install lift kit of 4,5" - work on brakes rear and front - change cylinder head with one from HO - Change all cooling hose - buy a ne rear bump stop from Westin - refurbished the tail lights - buy chrome parts : mirrors , chrome ornaments - repaint the car - buy beige interior (dashboard, door panels) Any way , i want to swap to 4x4 and I install front axle from an XJ with same gear ratio (change bearings and install long brake hose) I want to install NP 242 donate from an 89 XJ with AV 4 automatic gearbox. I want to mention that I have also AV 4 on my Comanche . I have one question , it is possible to install NP 242 on my AV4 or I need to install on a specific AV4 that became from a car with 4x4 transmission? Some pictures from my car
