Current Location: W Texas
Status: On the road...somehow! I put some notes below. Synchro for reverse is suspected to be done-for, but it does reverse if you hold it there, and the lights and everything work well enough to be on the road. Wiring harnesses are chopped up bad and need to be replaced.
Notes: This MJ was used as a farm truck for many years, so it has all the typical things you'd find on a farm truck...weird wiring, chopped up and spliced wiring and connections, switches that don't work, added switches to bypass the inoperable ones; rigged-up "fixes" to broken things, pretty much no money spent to fix anything right, just whatever kept it working. Interesting is that apart from a bad weld/repair on the door striker, there is ZERO RUST anywhere. Not the floors, not the shelf behind the rear wheels, nothing. The body is banged up a bit and the rear bumper is probably the worst of it, but it runs and drives without any showstopping issues.
