  1. Funny story, I was leaving to go plow snow at roughly 2 am there is about three inches on the roads. I turn out onto the main road to town and my gas pedal sticks down. Jumping to the end of the story I hit a curb broke a leaf spring and bent an axle shaft. I'm looking at possible just replacing the entire axle just because it is super rusty and pitted. I can't seem to find any that have the right brackets. I'm wondering how easy it is to put a dana 44 in place of the 35.
  2. Will I be able to use the stock drive shafts with the 350 and nv3500 or is it to long?
  3. i'm guessing any nv3500 will bolt up to any 350 but please correct me if i'm wrong
  4. will an nv3500 bolt right to a 231 t case? I was looking on the novak site for an adapter and either i missed it or you don't need one.
  5. Does anyone have any input on the best transmission to put behind a 350?
  6. Will a 231 t case bolt right to the back of the nv3500 without an adapter?
  7. 350/sm465 with 29 inch tires
  8. What gears would you recommend?
  9. Apart from modifing the shift lever and getting the nessesary adapter kits is there any reason a sm465 wouldn't work?
  10. Another question, has anybody swapped in a manual transmission that is not an ax15? It seems like most people go with the ax15 or automatics. I'm just wondering if there is a reason for that?
  11. It's going in an 87 Comanche. I haven't bought a carb for it yet. Things move kind of slow in the winter time in Minnesota. As far as efi systems go my pockets are not that deep. I'll have to look at the fuel pump situation further down the road.
  12. What have you guys done to your fuel systems to accommodate a carburetor?
  13. Does anybody make a customizable engine harness that will plug right in?
  14. I might sound kind of dumb, but I don't have a lot of knowledge when it comes to electronics and wiring.
  15. I have not touched any electronics behind the dash, so yes stock gauges are still there. I have not bought after market ones yet. As far as wiring goes I have not done anything. I don't have the motor yet but am looking to pick it up soon. Is there a custom harness that I could buy to make things a little easier?
  16. So I'm essentially getting that just using a completely different harness for the motor with after market key switch and gauges is the easiest route.
  17. I'm looking to swap a carbureted sbc 350 in place of my 4.0. The only place I'm getting tripped up is wiring. Is anyone willing to share What they did to make that work. I don't really want to hack up the stock harness and get in over my head without a solid plan in place. Would it be easier to tuck the wires for the stock engine away and run a completely different harness with its own key switch and gauges so I can leave the chassis harness alone? If anyone was any input on this please do share.
