Picked up this rusty gem tonight for $600. 123k miles, 5 speed 4.0, unrun RC 4.5” lift. Guy bought it and lifted it, title was signed in the wrong spot and he gave up, 3 years ago. Runs like a top and shifts good. New header and slip yoke eliminator.

Head is off and the motor and trans is a few bolts awayFrom jumping out. My gasket kit and timing set came today and head bolts should be here tomorrow. I have a rusty 88 xj with 165 psi compression, aw4 and 242, 3.5” lift and a spartan to swap over

She’s gone to the great partout in the sky. She will live on to save another. The guy I sold to is using her to resurrect this.

3.6 24 valve variable vane turbo must have been the hot ticket! Oh, it’s in Dupo Illinois now but title says Vernon Illinois and I bought it in St. Clair mo.

Was a 4.0 5 speed 4x4. White with blue interior. Floors are 95%. Bed is comp cut and arches are rolled and bondoed. Stripped to a shell, $400 is what I paid.

Popping through the throttle body is timing. Either you got the firing order wrong on the tuneup or the timing chain has jumped or the ecm went bad or

You’ll probably need a sledgehammer to beat the firewall back. The Early v6s weren’t made with a long motor in mind. -
I bet. We’re at 220/205 respectively. As much as I don’t like it, the dog is probably getting a box in the bed. The manual steering box and brand new Rancho shocks will find their way onto my two door 2wd 4 banger 98 xj.

Now you have me wondering how four people fit in this thing. I'm having a hard tome figuring out where the 75lb dog will ride with two 200+lb humans. Was there a Bratpack back seat package? Alot of good information there, Thanks!

I agree. I have probably eight feet of steel in that foot and a half or so of rotten frame. There a few layers there.

Just about ready to set the pan in. It ain't purty but is alot better than I had. Lots of 16ga and 3/16" steel.

I figger somebody dumped a Moose cup in the floor back in the day and the sound deadener soaked up all that acidic goodness. It's not terrible, most of the rot is up high. I'm chipping away at it. Being an essential member of society doesn't leave me but about a few hours on the weekends. I have some 5/32" sheet cut up and bent ready to be grafted back into the rear frame sandwich

I have a build going on the project page. It will be my weekender/heavy trail/Good vacation truck. My son and I hit the Rockies every summer and we get pretty far out.

Snatched a set of these for $60 yesterday. I only had to beat four other people to the abandoned Steak-n-Shake.
