  1. Built me a mini-me I don’t know why the first one flipped
  2. Got these in over the weekend. Probably could have gone with the 4”. Don’t sound too bad at half volume but definitely no bottom end. Kinda hillbillied them in, used the tube from an ink pen and a couple long screws to mount them perpendicular to the floor and fire them out instead of down. Had to do a couple notches in the upper dash to clear my pen/screw arrangement and gorilla tape “enclosures” to keep them from backtalking.
  3. Thoughts are to build a couple 1/2cubic foot boxes for a set of Type R separates I have laying around, tweets on the dash or pillars if I can find the factory pods that go by the wings on the doors and some decent lol 3 1/2” for the crap location in the bottom of the dash and an 8” for the bottom end. 120x4 amp to drive it all.
  4. These doors have no and a 1/4. This is why I’m having a hard time.

    Thanks
  6. Just some 6 1/2” in the doors. All this has in it are the 3 1/2 in the dash which is weird because it’s a radio delete truck.
  7. Gotta be the best $250 I’ve spent in the last 6 months. now it’s time to put a radio in. Why am I having such a battle with myself over cutting the virgin door panels??? I must be getting old...
  8. Yes it is. There is so much room for my werk tools compared to my Xj. This means I can buy more tools, right?
  9. I have about 1500 miles on it and it’s running like a top. The radiator out of the donor started seeping at the seams , replaced it today. It got a little warmer than usual on the way home from getting this are three door shell. I had swap the 33s for my 31s because they were too bouncy on 6” rims and I figured it would only get worse with the shell. Had a bit more pep on the way there but I could tell the shell is 6” taller than the cab above 60 and especially passing semis.
  10. They ride real nice as don’t grab ruts and cracks as bad as a 12.50.
  11. I came across a new set of 33/10.50-15 the other day. Kinda down to interior. A friend of my ne in town will be freshening up the seats and I’ll be covering the headliner and back wall in the same vinyl. Runs great and rides good on the highway.
  12. White is high in my top five favorite colors. I think this one is a keeper. I dug into the dealer tag and couldn’t find anything but the New Orleans dso isn’t too far away from Vicksburg, Ms. it’s sad to see dealerships go. I have a 66 F100 short bed with a dealer installed 406fe from Moore Ford in North Little Rock. They were huge. Had city, county and state contracts and sold everything from riding mowers to GT40’s, Shelby mustangs and galaxies with bubblegum machines on the roof to chase them down. The kids took over in the eighties, bought a dealership in Vegas and threw it all away at the tables.
  13. Looks good out in the sun
  14. Got the factory rearend out, looks like somebody threw a strap on it and tried to yank the truck out of a pretty good stuck. Has about 8” of pipe welded to the carrier and axle tube. Cut the mounts off and prepped an xj axle. The passenger side leaf split at the front bushing. After some measurements and a bit of Irish luck, I pulled a set of leafs out of the back of the barn from a 94 ford lightning. I removed the slappers an half leaf and they bolted right in and gave me 6” lift with the axle flip.
  15. Got some interior in this weekend too.
  16. Alive and front wheel drive.
  17. Tooth off on the distributor. Runs great. Put the radiator and grille in tonight. Now it’s onto the rear lift. I hope I don’t have to lower the front, it looks good on 6” springs and 31/10.50.
  18. Tooth off on the distributor. Runs great. Put the radiator and grille in tonight. Now it’s onto the rear lift. I hope I don’t have to lower the front, it looks good on 6” springs and 31/10.50.
  19. I’ll do the booster swap when I rob a grand for it’s rear discs.
  20. Motor runs for a minute, badly. Keeps losing the cam sensor. I have one on the counter to be picked up in the morning. Installed the front axle and springs tonight after werk and some pizza. The 265/75/16 are a tight fit but the 31/10.50’s look pretty good.
  21. 4.0 and 5 speed is bolted in. The 94 xj I picked up for the drivetrain turned out to have a cracked block. I came across a low mile unit out of another xj, swapped the head after a trip to Vanmeters for a boil, pressure check and machine work. The new motor looks great, still has all the cross hatch and the bearings are just barely scuffed. The timing set looked brand new as well so I replaced gaskets and set it in. Now on to stabbing the distributor and wire it up, swap the front axle, flip the rear, build a driveshaft for the rear and drop in lockers.

New Orleans dso and a South Carolina dealer tag on the gate. Ol truck got around. It’s in St. Louis now.
  23. $60 Gaskets, $30 head bolts and $40 timing set. $170 shipped from rock auto and jegs.
  24. Tore into the other 91 this weekend. 2wd 4.0 auto with dealer installed mopar air conditioning. Got the head off and the accessories stripped. I have a rusty 88 xj with great compression and fresh bearings, auto and 242 transfer case, spartan locker and 3.5” lift. Mahle Gasket set and timing set and guide were delivered today and head bolts should be here tomorrow. This will most likely get a flatbed and 33” tires with 4.56 gears and rear locker.
