  1. Thank you. Hopefully I get some ambition here in the near future and I can lower it another 2 inch front and back. That will take some extensive modification though. Notching the front axle beam and in the rear it needs 4 link and coilovers. Hopefully in the next few months.
  2. If I can find a roll pan that would fit with minimal work then I’ll do that. As it is now though I kind of like the no bumper look.
  3. Here are some pics of the (almost finished) product.
  4. Been a few weeks but finally made some progress. Got it most of the way put back together. I just have to finish up some interior stuff and sand some but it should be cruising this upcoming week.
  5. Got my 97+ front end mounted today. hoping to have time to wet sand it this Friday and post some more pics.
  6. Thank you! A lot of learning on the fly but I love it.
  7. In my very limited time driving it so far it seems pretty decent. Very responsive turn-in and doesn’t ride like it’s on bricks. I’m waiting on the addco front and rear swaybar upgrades to be built. But that should really increase the handling. Once I finish putting it all back together I plan to do much more testing on the suspension and see what it can handle.
  8. Thank you. Actually painted out of a gun. I’m no professional, but I think it turned out alright. Posting some pics of the front end put back on this evening. I did a 97+ front clip.
  9. Painted the truck today. I’m really happy with how it turned out.
  10. Made a little progress on the truck today. I pulled the bed to prep for paint.
  11. Thank you guys. I appreciate that it isn’t just a roast fest. I’m definitely pretty embarrassed to have jumped the gun so much on it.
  12. So I have to eat crow on this one. I got a little ahead of myself and I got a bit excited. It is definitely a dana 30. I subject myself to all the criticism I deserve. And I won’t post prematurely again. My lesson Is learned. please go easy on me...
  13. Thank you for decoding the vin. I wonder if it was a dealership option. I will post pictures here in a few min of the axle codes. If the axle was casted in 1990-1991 I would be surprised if it wasn’t on it when the customer purchased it original.
  14. On my way to rack the truck and get pictures. Will have them within the hour.
  15. Here is the vin number: 1J7FJ26S2ML548031
  16. I’m more of on a fact finding mission. As I stated above I’ve owned a few and I know common knowledge is that it came with a d30. I'm trying to find a legit vin decoder and will be looking for the build sheet in the truck today as well. I plan to this afternoon. Has axle tags on both still too. I will post those as well.
  17. Ended up not being a dana 44 front axle i got a little excited and didn’t look closely enough.
  18. I jumped the gun a bit on this one. It doesn’t have a d44 front. I learned my lesson. As the title states I just picked up a 1991 comanche with with Dana 44 front and rear. I know the consensus on the internet is that all came with a dana 30 front. This is my 3rd Comanche and I’ve owned 3 xj’s as well so I’m decently familiar with the platform. Does anyone one have any insight on this truck? I will post pictures when I can get it on my rack. Possibly this afternoon or tomorrow.
  19. This new one I picked up is a 91. I’ve been doing some research on this truck because I believe it is something special. This truck has factory Dana 44 front and rear axles which I have read isn’t a thing. I plan on posting a separate thread on this matter because I haven’t found anyone talking about this on any forums.
  20. Picked up a new Comanche to add to the collection. Factory dana 44 rear with limited slip. Pretty cool truck.
  21. Got some 97+ Cherokee doors and hung them today. Gotta figure out the wiring for the power windows but some progress is better than no progress. Also installed some 2001 Cherokee bucket seats. Definitely more comfortable but a bit of a pain to fab up new mounts.
  22. Working on it. I’m about 2 weeks ahead of where I am in my updates so I’ll have daily updates for the next few days.
