  1. Well, I got the resivoir removed, the line removed, got the top bolt out, got the bottom nut off and it won't budge! Everything is disconnected, not sure what the hang up is. Anyone?? :dunno: Matt
  2. Thanks for the idea pilotblake. I've got a small space heater that I can go over to and warm up my hands when needed. Most of the time its not horribly cold in the garage. Matt
  3. I'm waiting for my POR to get here. I think I'll put some POR around where the master cylinder meets the firewall on both sides just in case it leaks agian down the road. Matt
  4. Just curious if anyone has attempted to get their clutch master cylinder out by themselves. I've tried and can't seem to get it. I'm having problems with the top bolt that holds the master cylinder onto the firewall. Any one have any tips? :dunno: Matt
  5. When we bought the place, the fiance loved the house and I loved the garage! Its a 2 and a half car garage and the P.O. built a walled in workshop area in the back of it. I took out the wall and made the garage bigger! Now its got all the room I could ever need! Only thing its missing is heat. Matt

  8. Well, decided to go with the C2C pan. Tried to order from Sherman's, but there was something wrong with their checkout. Should be here in a few days. Matt
  9. I keep going back and forth between the C2C and the Sherman pans. I don't really care about it looking factory as it'll be covered with a rubber floor mat, I just want something that will fit well without alot of issues. Matt

  12. Well, looks like I'm probably gonna go with the Sherman floorpan for the drivers side. The passenger side just needs to be cleaned up a little bit via a wire wheel. Any one else here use POR15 after installing new tin? Matt

  16. Here is the extent of the damage. Do any of the aftermarket floorpans account for the rib in running through the floor? The rib appears to still be solid, just have to grind the rust off of it. The PO used fiberglass to patch the hole in the floor :doh:
  17. Well, some more "good" news. Looks like I'll have to replace the entire floor pan as I've got rot on the right side of the rib running down the floor :fs1: . Wonderful.... Matt

  19. I'm pretty nervous about cutting and replacing the tin on the drivers side as I've never done it before. Once the new tin is in, I'll probably POR it top and bottom and put some truck bed liner over that. Any tips or tricks you guys would share with a noob? :dunno: Matt
  20. Hey all, Got bored yesterday so I decided to take up the interior of my MJ to check for rust. here's what I found: Passenger side: Drivers side: The rest of the cab: I knew the drivers side needed some attention when I bought it. Aside from the drivers side, it doesn't look too bad. Matt
  21. Pardon my ignorance, but where exactly is the bleeder for the clutch master cylinder? I've got a service manual, but there aren't any pictures that show where its at on the truck. Matt
  22. I gutted my interior to check the rust damage to the drivers floor and discovered a leaky clutch master cylinder in addition to some rot. :mad: Matt
  23. I've got a rag between the cylinder and the fuse panel to catch any drips. Its not a bad leak, just a drip or two when the clutch is depressed. The fuse panel appears to be in good shape, do distortion or anything, so hopefully I caught the leak early. All of the electronic gizmos seem to be working (except the clock). Matt
  24. Ok, cool. I'll probably run to the local Napa tomorrow and pick one up. Also, I imagine that I need to bleed the system once the new one is installed? What is the correct method of bleeding the system? Matt
