  1. Indeed. So no luck at all after changing the fuse, the blower motor, the resistor pack. I even checked the terminals going into the plug. No power is coming from the female connector to the male from the blower motor. Still, thanks for all of the guidance, learned a lot about the truck.
  2. Would someone mind taking a picture of the exact location of the resistor pack? I hooked up old blower motor directly to the battery and it worked. Fuse was replaced. Would a resistor be an issue on a 1991? Thanks folks!
  3. Update put in the blower motor, used the same terminals, re crimped and plugged in. Won't spin, the resistor pack? However the motor was not working on any setting? Heater not blowing, just hear rattling noise when going from setting to setting.
  4. Also, when rewiring the wire on blower motor red goes on A and black on B?
  5. Oh I'm a big fan of the Corvair, the size, the location of the engine, everything about it was exotic in nature. I mean look at Porsche 911, Boxter or mid engined sports cars from other manufacturers. Happy to see Corvette going mid-engined by 2020 MY.
  6. Thank you kindly. The blower motor doesn't work at any speed... like the Corvair. I checked. So it'll be a trip to the advance Auto parts and get a carquest American made blower motor.
  7. Thanks. Will the manual show where the resistor pack is?
  8. Good morning, Blower morning went out on this cold morning and I'm going to replace it. Already found the DIY video, although performed on a Cherokee, but layout is the same. Here is my question though, is the Cherokee motor more powerful than the Comanche blower motor? Former has more cabin to heat, maybe it makes sense to put that one in? Or are they the same thing? 1991 Jeep Comanche 4x4, inline 6, 5 speed manual transmission
  9. Yes back to Damage Case...one of my favorite Motorhead songs and I have to thank Metallica for introducing me to them. I miss Lemmy. But yes the tires... Michelin has historically provided great products, even in F1.
  10. Hello, I've been doing much soul and forum searching and couldn't find an answer to a best tire to have for highway driving on the Comanche. I got the most popular size of 235/75/15 and I am in need of a set that is a solid all season tire, but is good on highway in terms of NHV levels. It is certainly a far cry from a modern truck, let alone a car, but would like to make a sound decision here. Thanks! 1991 Jeep Comanche, 4x4, 5-speed, in-line 6
  11. Thanks. I should have searched. Number one rule of forums. I tried editing the signature, but couldn't find appropriate section. Operating via Android phone
  12. Man, I'm just firing out questions left and right here. Funny how impeding sense of winter is forcing me to act. Aside from stock, are there any available braking system which would take performance somewhere close to current?
  13. Problem solved. Two terminal $12.99 part at AutoZone. Heavy duty. Thanks all.
  14. Oh and it probably needs to be a 3 terminal one rather than 2?
  15. Perfect. Thanks. Ill swing by AutoZone on the way back.
  16. So I'm aware that when turn signal is flashing fast, it's a weak relay. Problem is, I looked at the manual and cannot find a dedicated relay for the turn signal switch. Can't be a fuse issue, as it's not a role of a fuse to provide intermittent power.
  17. Thanks folks! I'll go the relay route and then upgrade from there. Winter is coming, days are shorter and want to make sure I don't drive into a Michigan pothole. We were supposed to get them fixed, but road construction unions are on strike.
  18. Any suggestions for an upgrade to headlights? Current set up is a bit dated with poor performance
  19. Getting everything to work right to be a daily driver, at least during the non winter months.
  20. In all her glory 1991 Jeep Comanche 4x4 5-speed manual. Imported from California to Detroit. Fantastic vehicle. Puts a gigantic smile on my face when I drive it. Yes we have 2013 Fusion and 2012 Subaru Impreza. Both appliances.
  21. On topic of windshield wipers, my passenger side arm has a spring that's worn out, so in turn the blade isn't pressing firmly against the windshield like the driver's side. Does this mean replacing the assembly, or hopefully just the spring?
  22. MJ manual window regulators aren't made anymore, so naturally I'm curious if the Cherokee manual window regulator will work. If so, which year, and which online store carries it? Thanks.
  23. It's 91 manual and it's got to be Aisin, right? I just got the truck...had an alignment done, fixed the wobbly brake pedal, did an oil change, spark plug change and tomorrow getting the transmission fluid check and flush...also the coolant. I'm hoping this is down to the transmission fluid.
  24. It's a 4.0 inline 6 4x4 manual. Pioneer. Pics will be coming shortly. And I'll update the signature. Thanks!
  25. Jeeps Unlimited from Cedar Springs Colorado, hooked it up! Kudos to them, tip of a hat.
