It's doing it again. My right rear tail light is acting up. I have running lights and back up lights but I don't have brake, direction, or emergency lights. The plug behind the left tire is clean and the ground is good. The brown wire( no stripe) seems to be the one that feeds the right side and it's weird as I have bower to the cab side of the big plug but not on the bumper side. The connection is clean and tight. I even put in a little connection grease like I use on my plows. I can't figure out why the plug is n/g? I still can't rule out something prior to the plug. am i right that the brown wire feeds the right rear brake/dir/emerg bulbs? please email me at incredable.geo@yahoo.com so I can get the messages on my phone! I just put in a carpeted bedliner too. I'ts not bad but it's not a bedrug! I have one of those in my ram sport. It's much better.

I did my research, found the specs on many pickups bed sizes. I found the beds of the following, as far a a tonneau cover are concerned, are the same. CHEVROLET S10 1982 -1993 Long Fleetside/Styleside GMC S15 PICKUP 1982 -1990 Long Fleetside/Styleside GMC SONOMA 1991-1993 Long Fleetside/Styleside I bought an extang 144525 and it fits very well! jm2cw

I cleaned the ground, cut out the old wiring harness for the trailer, spliced in 4" of new wire, soldered and shrinked the connections. now I have directionals, running lights, reverse lights but no brake or flashers. I replaced both flashers with hd mechanical (noisy buggers) I'm stumped. Before I cut out the trailer wires, the flashers and brakes worked fine on drivers side. I dremmeled the ground behind the drivers tail light and used die electric to seal the connection (Aircraft grade) have good ground I'm sure. the stop/flasher fuse is good too?

86 Mj Right rear tail light completly out, not working. I have swaped the bulbs from the left side so I know it not the bulbs and the sockets are clean??? Help!

I have the opposite issue with my tach. When I'm running down the road at say 70 mph, it's off the chart. the engine is not screaminmg, I'd guess somewhere between 2500-3000. any ideas? also, my dash directional arroes do not light up. I changed the bulbs, no diff. the exterior lights are all working fine. my temp guage reads just off the blue after running the highway for a half hour. Normal? pleanty of heat from the heater.

new brakes are awesome. all new coated lines, no more ride hight porp valve, used 89xj porp. replaced clutch master and slave, new line for it too. all i need now is ahte ambassador paint job now! still have the old rear porp valve above is anybodys interested.

I don't have any dashboard directionals indicator lights. the directionals and emergency flashers all work outside. just can't tell from inside? also, anybody installed a Grant steering wheel? I canr get the horn to work. do I use the brass horseshoe connector in the horn cap or not?

p.s. with just lung powered air pressure, I don't see any pressure difference in the old rear valve. Mignt not be enough, or may need fluid to work. could be junk too!

The rear hight sensing porportioning valve is out, hanger bracker and axle barcket too! The new/old cherokee porp all cleaned inside and out. ready to go. New coated lines in the rear with new hose. now for the long run to the front. If anybody wants it let me know.

Is that the stock MJ valve? Here is the xj valve I aquired today. Ar my markings good? I'm sure about the right front , I traced it. What is the best line to run? I don't want to do just regular brake line. I hear NAPA has sometinh new that is virtually indestructable.

I picked up a cherokee porp valve today. I am looking for some sort of diagram as to what line goes where. the "new to me" porp valve has 5 line openings. I assume that the top 2, on either side of the the presure sensing electric sender, are from the master. The rearward facing one is the right front. That would make the rear bottom one the left front and the bottom front goes to the rear, now brake hose, where I'm iliminating the hight porp valve???

That cool so my ebrakes are not a freak! yeah I'm contemplating changing all my steel brake lines with SS. what size tubing? and recomendation on the process? I'll do the ss hoses to the wheel cyls and calipers as well.

So I should just cut the porportioning valve out of the system and put in a conventional y block for the brake lines? I'm going to change all the lines this week. any recomendations? I'm sure that the past owner didnt mess with the rear brakes but thast only accounts for the past 12 years. weird to see cables looping around to the back od the brakes!

I am looking at the e brake cables on my comanche and the cables enter the backing plate from the rear? Is this normal? I don't see how they could have been taken off and reversed.
