If not residing in the communist smog state of California I most certainly would. Then one would just cap off said egr valve?

That's what I'm thinking it is. Missing spots to hook the one end of the vacuum line too unless I'm missing something somewhere

Bought an 87 MJ with a 2.5 and 4 speed. Love this thing, but have a high and rough idle. Replaced vacuum lines one by one till I came across a solenoid of some sort laying on the pass side wheel well with both hoses disconnected. No idea what the unit is or where the lines go, and seem to have a possible issue with the throttle body having what appears to be 2 missing vacuum ports. Any tips on these issues?
