  1. how does the nv3550 differ from the ax-15 in strength? would the cost be worth it to go with a nv3550? and would a rock trac mount up to the ax-15? I know the nv3550 and the nsg370 would mount straight up to the rock trac but would those trannies mount up to the old remix motor? thanks for the help. just trying to figure out all my possibilities.
  2. Also is it possible to find a wrecked 2003-2006 Rubicon and use the NV3550 or the NSG370 with the Rock Trac 4:1 tcase? Can this work mounted up to a Renix engine in a 88 Comanche?
  3. Good looking ride man
  4. How difficult would it be to swap my slushbox AW4 for a 5 spd manual tranny? What all is involved? My last trail rig was a 5 spd Toyota with a Marlin crawler doubler sitting on 35's with 5.29 gearing. I haven't wheeled my Comanche yet as I've been trying get it "right" before hitting the trail. My setup now is Ford Dana 44 front and 9 in in rear with spools and 5.13 gearing sitting on 36's. My concern is that once I go wheeling with it I'll be disappointed in the gearing or lack thereof and I just prefer wheeling with a manual shift. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.
  5. Cool thanks. Just let me know when you get them done.
  6. For your taking orders I'd need a set for SWB also sir. How would you sell them for? And where do you live? Just wondering about shipping cost.
  7. This might it have been covered yet but I'm not sure. I did see a forum about making your own but I don't have the skill set, the time nor I have the welder or tube bender to complete the task. I'd like to purchase bolt on rock sliders but what fits??? I've looked at Nates and on their website it only shows for long beds. I really like the looks and quality appearance of the JCR's and Rocky Road but I don't see on their website that they cater to the MJ crowd. What are some good brands and also will XJ sliders fit? It seems that most sites cater more to XJ than MJ's and some don't even mention MJ's...why is that? I haven't had my 88 two tone long. Just trying to build it up and thanks in advance for the advice.
  8. Ordered my JCR Vanguard yesterday. Pretty happy stoked. Seems like good quality stuff

    Am I being cheap?

If your gonna put that much money into it why not just go with Dana 44? That's a much stronger axle and much better aftermarket support
