It's the black 16 pin connector behind the driver side kick panel below the parking brake assembly that connects the rear part of the harness to the dash section -

Yea I have a 1991 sender So I need to swap the whole sender assembly or just the pumps. Also how do I modify the connectors like what wires splice to what -
Okay so I'm almost done with my motor swap. I went from a 1988 mj 2.5 5spd 4x4 to a 4.0 aw4 4x4 from a 91 mj. I have swapped the whole driveline all of the engine bay electrics and the behind the dash electronics. I'm curious about the rear cab harness do I need to swap that one also since it's fuel pump rear lights and b pillar lights or can I change the connector and leave the wires

@Jeep Driver I know the rad and rad support luckily it's a bolt in swap. But what exactly with the fuel system other then the pump. I know the 4.0 pump puts out more then the 2.5 but that's it. Also @omega_rugal somewhere I saw a list of roughly how many of each model was built even down to the packages -
Okay so I have acquired a donor mj a 1991 4.0 auto 4x4 sb. The frame is completely rotted to $#!& and not worth saving. I have a 1988 2.5 5spd 4x4 Lb. I plan to do a motor/tranny swap since my body and frame on the 88 are mint but it has the small 2.5. The 4.0 with the bad frame fires right up and drives but the frame starts to fold. So I'm looking for as much input as possible since I plan to start the swap in 3 weeks. Here's my plan. Park them side by side and gut my 2.5 completely pull the motor tranny tcase and all the electronics. Then I plan to swing in the 4.0 and tranny bolt it in then attach the tcase and cross member. Next I plan to bring over everything from the 4.0 motor bay and bolt it in leaving just the harness. Once everything is over I plan to bring the harness over and connect it. Now all that should be left is my interior harness and ecu. So I plan to bring over the interior harness and ecu and hooking it up then bring over the 4.0 steering column (column shift) and it should be And I know I have to have my driveshaft rebuilt but is there anything I'm missing or should do differently or tips I feel it should be straight forward and easy since it's a full donor mj

I just did a swap in my mj and the tranny vent tube ran along the passenger side to the engine bay and at the top of the tube by the metal bend and clip the top most passenger side Bell housing volt goes threw the bracket

Connections at starter are good. I'm pretty sure I tested the fusible links right used an ohm meter and made sure the meter read 0 when touching both sides of the link I have the relay figured out but still no gauges and radio when I turn the key to any position -

All fuses inside are good. The relays are new under the hood. How can I test for power to starter motor relay and what am I looking for for fusible links a picture would be helpful. -

Starter motor relay is changed out and still when I turn the key to any position on acc or start nothing happens no noise none of the gauges work. Running out of ideas. Now to be sure on my on smr the bolt it all the eyelets (obvious) the middle spade is for my starter. The bottom right is ground (green wire) and the bottom left is my ignition (black/white wire) correct. -

I'm in the process of also replacing the starter motor relay since when I got it to start that day I was moving stuff in that area -
1988 2.5l 5sp So last week I drive to the store no problem came out and it didn't wanna start I eventually got it to start if I went into reverse it died instantly if I let off the gas for a minute or two it slowly died out. I got it home tested cps and it was weak so I ordered a new one from dealership. I pick it up install it and now when I turn my key the ignition does nothing. All my lights work but none of the gauges move in any position and my radio doesn't turn on almost like they aren't getting power/signal. The day prior it all worked so I read it's usually the ignition switch. Well I get one of those and install it and still nothing. I have been going threw doing cruisers tips also I have cleaned and sized up/added all grounds. I have cleaned the c101. And the coil/icm I'm in the process of cleaning all connectors and testing sensor grounds. So what do the comanche gurus have for answers I'm at a lost
