Hey All, I have problems signing in with my former account WolverineCub. I requested the password a number of times but never got the e-mail even though it was sent. I also contacted the Forum but no Reply. I got a new account so I need the two merged. Thanks Steve

2.5 Liter Valve Cover Gasket
WolverineCub replied to WolverineCub's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Which Permatex, Form a Gasket? Which type? Thanks for the info and Colorado Red. Steve in Montreal -
I have a Fel-Pro gasket to change. It is cork and rubber. Should I add and gasket cement? The valve cover had been changed a while back, does it warp? I had sweating, I slightly tightened the bolts and got more leaking. The Jeep is going in for Painting, I wonder if I can still get the Red from 1988? Steve in Montreal

Leaving for Niagara Falls to Repair & Paint.

I need to know if there is way to Identify the year on my 5 speed manual Transmission. The Truck is 1988 but may have a 1987. In 1987 the AX5 used different input bearings and used both the snap ring and nut option on the end of the countershaft. From 1988-2002 the AX5 came stock with the 23mm wide input bearing and the snap ring on the countershaft. Thanks Steve In Montreal

??? I fixed the driver's side with overlapping good metal, body cement and rivets. Now I have a passenger floor pan that is flat. Do I cut out the ridge on the floor? Steve in Montreal

I'm looking for a good fit carpet for my 1988 Jeep Comanche? I've seen a few on ebay, are they all the same? Steve in Montreal

Thank You Guys. I got two sets of older Flares but the Jeep is being painted so I was interested in New. I bought the Retainer kit, I may be able to adapt the back retainers. The Comanche is a 1988 4 Cyl 2WD Standard. Most of my fixes came off of a 1986 Comanche 4WD with V6 that developed blow-by and was carburetor so it's in my Yard.

Hello, Thank You... No power at Pump. No Cigarette Lighter, no Radio, No Headlamps, No Interior Lamps (They glowed a bit at first) Fuses check OK Steve -
Hello, I'm new here from Montreal, Canada While heading out on Vacation, my Comanche's alternator pulley came loose and the serpentine belt came off. (the pulley was put on a RB alternator by a impact gun) I was dead on the road but remembered a Canadian Tire was a short distance away so I removed the belt and drove to it. I removed the alternator and had it tightened. (same way) I reinstalled the belt and tightened up the power steering adj. for the belt. Then, the Comanche would not Start. I got towed back home. Besides not starting, the fuel guage was pointing to the Floor which looked like the Crank position Sensor but that was OK. I got Spark but no Fuel. There is no voltage to the pump. Fuses check Ok, the fuse box is Ok, no corrosion. Thanks For any Info Steve
