  1. Still looking to replace the idle control sensor. I see this one that looks right but it says it doesn’t fit the Truck? https://www.ebay.com/itm/292748451854?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=UkUsfFhuQnq&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=7t6LpLKKR_O&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  2. Need a hood latch for my 1988 Comanche
  3. I have a problem with my Jeep stalling. The picture shows the idle control. Mine does not look the same as what I can Order?
  4. I put grease on the bare metal. Looking closer at it, I think it can be fixed in the Spring and like I mentioned, I have a 1986 in the Yard. I live in Montreal, Quebec, the Cold Country.
  5. Thanks everyone. I will look for a body man that can do it.
  6. Maybe a body guy can pull it out. Has as anyone done this area before? Thank You
  7. I didn’t do the Body. I removed all the paint and welded in metal. I would need this done and painted Colorado Red. I don’t think it can be properly done without using the ends from my 1986. The 1986 is in my Yard. I took much off of it for this one including the tail gate.
  8. Hello, Last year I spent 7 months restoring my 1988 Jeep Comanche. I used many ideas from this forum. I am still working on it. One thing that needed attention was a broken weld holding the bumper on. I temporarily had 3/8” tye wraps holding it in place. Two weeks ago I ran into black ice and lost control. The Jeep went from side to side on the highway. It swerve to the passenger side and hit a small pole that pulled the bumper off. The bumper is scrap and the bed body in the rear now needs body work. The only thing I think would work is cutting the damage area out and welding the back with the same from my 1986 Comanche I have in the Yard. Ideas? I love my Jeep Comanche Thank You
  9. I had an issue of leaks from that area. I used black Polyurethane used for windshields to seal around the fuse-box. I also used the silver sheet plastic for insulation in the house, I wrapped it around the plug and secured with a tie wrap. Don't forget to check the Master Cylinder above it, that has only a sponge seal, mine leaked. I pulled it out and used the Polyurethane there also. No leaks at all after that.
  10. Do Wiring Diagrams change for each year? I have a 1988, will the 1987 (70 series) 8980 010 491 work?
  11. I have the ones at Amazon, same as on eBay but don't fit. The plastic lugs or tabs are off. Any others that don't need modifications? I look for Ford, same thing. PartsSquare
  12. Looking for 1157 and 1156 light sockets source
  13. Finally used black urethane on both sides of the Master cyl. and around the fusebox. NO MORE LEAK.
  14. OK, so I removed the Master Cylinder. No seal, so I will make a rubber one. For the fuse box, I removed the two screws inside. There is some silicone someone put on the firewall, the original seal inside is torn. I think this fuse box is filled with that black tar? like the other plug sitting on a firewall bracket. I cleaned that out and put dielectric grease but I don't want to pull the fuse box apart. Has anyone done that?
  15. Yes for the Master Cylinder. Fuse box eh, Ok. Thanks TBC
  16. Thank You The vinyl door panels (soft) are perfect, it's the trim inside so I'm going for the the plastic products.
  17. I had the windshield replaced with the black rubber/plastic molding. The hood has a new seal in the rear. Water is getting in on the drivers side firewall. Nothing obvious. Since I see the floors are rotting out on these, there must be some areas unique to these trucks. Any Help, got black poly urethane and starting this fix.
  18. " The answer was NO material markings, except for the ones from the dash, and those are marked PC/ABS. I would say it's a safe bet that most of the "hard" plastic in the vehicle is PC/ABS or straight ABS." I know about the markings and found nothing abbreviated either. Because the paint manufacturer SEM lists Vinyl Prep or Plastic Prep I needed to rule out PVC. I fount the SEM paint after seeing an ebay listing for cab lights painted in Burgundy for the Comanche. The Color is perfect so I just wanted to follow the manufacturer's instructions. It's a Jeep thing.
  19. I have a paint for interior by SEM. It needs a soap and prep. There are two different, PVC and Plastic which is other plastics. What does the Comanche have. I don't see any identification on the panels. SEM Color Coat 15063 Burgundy
  20. The position is lower that I thought. Why do people install then so close to the top fold? Why doesn't the Service Manual give the location? It looks like it's in line with the top fender flare in an illustration in the manual?
  21. I need the Exact Comanche Logo Position on Fender
