  1. Hey guys, just spent a couple of bucks on some bucketts from a 99 cherokee, and was wandering what the best way to mount them up in my MJ was. I take it buy this thread if the bracketts don't fit, i need to get some MJ bucket bracketts?? Anyone got some for sale if that is the case. will the MJ bench brackets not work to well??
  2. shot thats to bad. I have no idea what kind of spacers my dude ordered for me, but he is pretty good about working with you if things don't go right with the stuff you get from him. He also ordered a new header for me to put on. I had my local muffler shop weld in a magnaflow 1into2 with twin chrome 2.5" tips coming out the rear right side behind the tire. Looks pretty sweet, ill post up some pics soon as i get em.
  3. dude they do rub a little in the back when I am backing out on sharp turns and they rub on the lower control arms on sharp turns in the parking lot. I do have spacers on the way and soon as i get em ill let you know if they still rub. Hopefully it will put an end to dat shiznet. Thanks for the compliments. My MJ is actually my wifes DD and she won't let that thing die. everytime something is wrong with it(u know that sound coming from the under the hood) I gots to go figure out what she is talking about. But yea it is Old Reliable. Thanks again. :D
  4. My top was a MJ specific made. I got it from Snug top about 8 years ago. I do not think they offer tops for Jeeps anymore, but you can check ther Web cite or call them for specifics. Let them know that I have one and if they do not believe you I can give you the S/N on it so tey can track it and go Holy Cow we did make one. It was kinda pricey though as I remember i paid almost $3000 for it, mainly cause it had to get shipped form Cali to Germany, but it is full fiberglass, paint matched, carpeted, tinted and sliding windows on the sieds. At the time in Germany I couldn't find anyhing that would fit and I needed it to transport my Dog, cause topless dog transport in Germany is illegal. Oh yea www.snugtop.com
  5. Ignorant @$$ here, but what is SOA. Not a new b to Jeep but new b to lifts, here is mine with a 3" and 33 12.5x15
  6. going to go get the bed Rhino lined today, wish me luck that everything comes out ok.
  7. CW thanks for all the info man. looking at the picture of the lower leaf pack, it looks exactly like mine. so now is there any lift what so ever on the back, i'm clueless. Oh yea the kit did come with an adjustable track bar and it is installed. She is a clean MJ just one rust spot between bed a cab, I plan on fixing that up once I get the lift done.
  8. fair enough. that is what i figured. the very bottom one is shorter and noticably fatter than the others. My only concern is if i remove this aal and replace it with the skyjacker one will my lift fall short of 3 inches. should i maybe try to procure the original leaf pack befor installing the skyjacker aal? Questions questions questions. I guess I could add the new one and leave the short one to see what it does and just do a bunch of trial and error things. As for the front all that is left is to add the upper control arms. Lower control arms, extended sway bar links, coils, shocks, adjustable track bar and steering stabilizer were all done today, I just ran out of time to put the upper control arms in. If there is any more information anyone could offer, I would appreciate it. if you want to check out my ride(before my new makeover) check here http://www.golfmkv.com/forums/mygolf.ph ... age&id=632 there are also some other pictures of some of my other toys.
  9. New b to the forum but not to Jeep. Ive had my 88 MJ for about 9 years now. Well here is the issue. Had a lift kit on it wich was only AAL, Front coils, and shocks, wich I always thought to be a 3 inch lift, but it was a 4 inch lift. I reciently purchased a 3" Skyjacker kit, with all the trimmings. Well here are the questions. Just got done with the front and I assume I need to get a front end allignment, or should I wait until I get the rear lift completed? Will this also straightn up my steering wheel? Lastly I have know idea which AAL on the original pack is the AAL I would need to replace with the Skyjacker AAL, my current leaf pack has only 4 leafs so evidently one has been replaced. Would it help if I measured each of the leafs on my pack to see if anyone could tell me which one is definatly not the right one. More importantly than that if I replase one of them would I have to get the original set up again. $#!& any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
