Been too busy to get on the forum but basically this is where I'm at 88 comanche lb 4x4 4.0 Peugeot 3.08 gears. Donor 97 xj 4.0 231 3.55's doing a full 97+ swap will be a daily driver with overland capabilities. Reinforced bed with front half raised with storage underneath. 8.8 in rear d30 front with larger axles. Full skids, bumpers, sliders, lockers, stroked 4.0-4.7. Tearing it down and making it all new again.

Just picked up my first comanche, been in the jeep game for 10 years and always had xj's this one I picked up is straight for the most part. Looking at doing a full 97+ conversion so I will have parts for sale in the near future. It's a longbed 4.0 4wd 5spd badged as a metric ton but has the amc 35 rear end with 3.08 gears best I can tell, it's also been badged as a xls so at this point I'm convinced it's a mutt.
