  1. check that ground behind your left tail light. Also could be the multifunction switch (light knob assembly). Just a guess

  5. No luck. I also called NAPA and went to Auto Zone and they said the part in N/A. Please let me know if you can help me out. Thanks
  6. I don't know what size drum it is. The comanche is at my mechanics house. I'll call him to see..... just got off the phone with him and he said 10". My LT. lets us do small jobs but most the time it's just too wash them and keep them in for the night. Thanks
  7. I'm looking for the part in the drum that pushes the two shoes apart. It has a spring on one side and is located on the top half. I think it might be called a strut. Looking for two of these. I guess they're discontinued and the junk yard near me doesn't have them. Also my parts comanche is missing them too. 1988 2wd 2.5L with a 35 in the rear. Shipped to madison WI 53726. Thanks for looking
  8. Try removing your headlight knob switch. Make sure the groung is good right behind it. check the harness that goes into the headlight sitch. My tail lights were not woking and i found out that evertime i tried to turn on my dome lights my tail lights would not work. Had to remove a fuse and reinstall it to work again. also my gauge lights don't work. Hopeing to replace the headlight switch soon and see if that works. also a ground behind your driverside tail light. check the harness near rear bumper too. keep me posted if you fnd the problem.
  9. Today i pulled out the fuses and cleaned them. Then i turned on my headlights and saw that the tail lights were on. I then turned my knob to see if my gauge lights worked and they didn't. Then i noticed my tail lights weren't on anymore. I then shut everything off and pulled the fuses again and then replaced them. Pulled out the knob and there were my tail lights again. So, everytime i turn my headlight knob to the far left it must short out my tail lights. I'm thinking it must be a bad headlight switch. I'll keep you posted when i switch out my headlight switch. As for my corner blinker lights.... no luck there yet.
  10. As the title says... none of these are working. My brake lights work. There was a short time where my gauge lights would work only if my headlight knob was all the way over to the left. Now it's not, and that lead me to discover my tail lights. This fuse doesn't light up when i test it ... INSP LPS (5) far right, top. All the other ones do. I've checked the forum in the search box and i've done all the ideas i read. Fuses, grounds (driverside tail light) bulbs, checked the connection behind the driver side seat, checked the wire harness near the rear bumper.... Could this all be the headlight knob switch? Any ideas just shoot them out there for me please. 1988 comanche Pioneer 2.5L 2wd. Thanks, bryan
  11. Thanks for the help!
  12. What is this part called?.......... looks like a shock that's attatched to the motor. I think i need a new one. Mine is not tight. What does this part actually do? Where do i get one? 1988 comanche pioneer 2.5L 4 speed. Thanks, Bryan
  13. thanks for the help. Today i got my truck "inspected" and they said they couldn't find anything wrong with it. Ball joints seemed fine. On my way to the place to get inspected the DW happened twice. Both times because of bumps in the road. I'm looking into replacing my trac bar. By the way the "shop" was firestone.. even though i told myself i'd never go back there, they were the only ones to get me in today and give me an allignment. Also my steering seems sloppy left to right. also replaced the shocks. DW happened with old shocks and with new ones. Anyways i had them replace my steering dampner and no DW on the way home. I'm not sure it's gone though. thanks again, bryan
  14. I get the same thing. Someone told me that it could be my steering dampner. I bought one but have not put it on yet. I'll let you know if it works for me.
  15. So i installed my 3" lift on my comanche (3" springs and shocks) and i'm looking at the front tires and they tilted in a bit. What do i need to correct this? I'll try posting a pic but i think you guys\gals know what i'm talking about. Adjustable control arms wouldn't correct this would they? Thanks for the info.
