  1. Thanks guys ! ...I probably need to pull the trim and just make sure I've get it sealed up all the way around . The scary thing is gettin' that trim off without crackin' the freakin' glass . Thanks again ! Dave
  2. Thanks for that info Dave . I'd have to say that mine is leaking a the bottom corners of the windshield . There is nothing wet above the dashboard . It looks like the glass is sitting low at the bottom corners since there is quite a bit of space between the glass and the chrome trim . I'm thinkin' there's a lack of mastic there and that is why the corners are sitting so low especially on the right side which had much more water in it than the left side . After sitting in the driveway all week not being driven , I went out and there was literally 3 inches of water sitting in the passenger side floor . I could have had fish swimming around in there .
  3. This is pretty much what I am suspecting to be the problem . It looks as if the windshield is brand new and after lifting the carpet there doesn't appear to be any earlier evidence of wetness , I.E. there is no rust that can be seen . I'm thinkin' that this is the first time this floor has ever gotten wet . Looking at the bottom corners of the windshield , I suspect this area is the culprit . Thanks all , Dave I pulled the wipers and the cowl plate to see if maybe that was filling with water and dumping into the cab somehow but that trough is dry . I can't see where that drains . Any ideas ? I'm still thinkin' that it's windshield . :wall:
  4. Just added a 92 Cherokee to my lineup (got it last week) and now with all this rain I went out for the first time in almost a week and the floor boards are 3 inches deep in rain water ! WTF ! Where is the leak ??? Bad windshield install or what ??? HELP !!!!! Dave
  5. Ol' Blue has 250,000 on the ticker & still runs like new . I bought it with 70,000 on the clock & who knows what the story was prior to then , but I have run Valvoline 10/30 conventional ever since I have had her . I've been running that crappy ol' Fram "extra guard" for the last 8 to 10 years without a problem . To be fair , I must admit that the juice gets changed every 2,000 miles like clockwork , so I attribute that in itself to the longevity of the motor aside from the fact that is is a 4.0 liter . I had run the Power Flo filters for the first while , but those seemed to give me a dry start here & there especially if the truck sat for more than a day . Ever since switching to the "extra guard" , I have yet to experience a dry start unless she sat for a month . So in the end , no matter how much bad you here about the Fram filter , my 4.0 still sounds & runs like new (knock on wood) . I was getting back about 5 1/2 quarts out of 6 on my oil changes which I thought was pretty good & started using a little 5 oz. bottle of Lucas fuel treatment with every fill up & in doing that I now get back 6 out of 6 quarts on my oil changes . There is obviously a benefit to that upper cylinder lubrication claim even though I really don't see a mileage increase per gallon that is noticeable . :brows:
  6. Must be settings on your unit Pete . :dunno:
  7. I can see it !
  8. :agree: Keep 'em all alive ! I've put a great amount of effort into keeping mine from its otherwise going to the boneyard demise . A friend of mine that I hadn't seen in years stopped by just the other day & his girlfriend was standing out front admiring "Ol'Blue" . Rewarding ? Yes ! BTW , Oldred87s' photo never posted . Whats up ? :dunno:
  9. I sent Jp all the photos that I posted here & was kind of hoping that more of them would make it into the mag , but hey ! , it's a start ! ....I was also thinking that maybe we could get an article about the club in the mag & maybe even make the cover . :dunno:
  10. I went out to the mailbox this morning & the latest edition of "Jp" magazine was in there . (April 2009 issue) , I brought it in the house , was flipping through it , & there it was ! On page 80 in the "Jeep Shots" , "Ol' Blue" ! It made the magazine !
  11. Love the truck, but good luck finding a decent bumper. Looks like it's in real nice shape ! A good body shop shouldn't have a problem taking care of its' needs without a donor vehicle . If mine doesn't go 500,000 , I'll be  issed .
  12. :agree:
  13. Shoot ! That drivetrain is brand new , just barely broke in !
  14. Yeah , that's a good lookin' truck ! I was never fond of the longbed version , but that one has a nice stance with the lift & it really doesn't look overly long sitting up like that .
  15. And I'm in Redlands, the other side of San Timoteo from you. http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=6658#p6658 Hey , maybe we could put together a little Inland Empire hoorah !
