  1. That to me sounds like the flasher is bad. If your hazards work, swap the two silver cylinders that are in the fuse panel. Ones on the bottom left ones on the top right. They're the flashers that control....you know....the flashing of the lights.
  2. Looking for...what the title says lol. One of my dome lights fell apart in my hands. REALLY need a speedo cable bad. 1988 Comanche. Also, I'm in high search for a d30 or front axle, driveshaft, tcase and tranny for my 4x4 conversion. I'm in Dallas, so hopefully around here would be best for me.
  3. Yup, there's some trailer wiring. What's being suggested? Forgive me, new to unibodies :)
  4. Looking under it, the frame is all straight. What do you see that i'm missing? :dunno: Edit: Are you talking about the grill? It's not screwed in all the way. Missing some clips :P
  5. ^ Correct. As I move the lever up and down, the light that is switched on is brighter, the other light is off. (As in, if I do a right signal as well as press the brake light, the left light turns off. Left signal with brake, right light is turned off)
  6. Been low on cash. Still waiting for that mystical donor XJ for the cheap price I need to roll up to my house. I've gotten a PM from someone near me with an 88 XJ 4x4. Says he'll sell for cheap. He only needed the body parts. We'll see! I'm off on vacation tomorrow through next saturday, I REALLY need to do the track bar when I get back. DW is bad. Today I plastidipped the front grill. I needed to do something so I could throw something on here. It's tiny progress, but progress is progress i suppose. It's just temporary until I get back and i'll hit it with something better. I'll be doing a front clip swap anyway in the future so this is just for now.
  7. Hey all. So on this new Comanche I've gotten, turn signals don't work. The emergency flashers do, but the turn signals do not. First thing I did was try to swap the flashers under the dash. Got nothing. Checked fuse - good. Checked lights - good. Now, the part that has me beat, is the turn signals will light up ONLY if the brake lights are on (brake pedal depressed). They'll light up, won't flash though. But that's the only time they actually do anything. My main thought is the actual switch inside the steering column. Sound like a likely culprit?
  8. I imagine its a pretty straight forward swap. I did it in my wrangler. No idea about mounts though.

    Texans?

Elliott 1988 2wd base Denton! Hit me up guys. Could always use more friends.
  10. Hey all. New here to the unibody side of jeeps. I had a built wrangler, economy hit hard, and I traded it for a civic. Fast forward about a year, I purchased a bike, realized it wasn't for me, and came back to the jeep side. Without further adeiu, here she is. 1988 mj base short bed. 2wd, 4.0, cruddy Peugeot ba 10/5. First plan is a 4wd conversion. On the hunt for a front axle, driveshaft, transfer case, and tranny. If anyone is in the Dallas or surrounding areas and has or knows someone who has these parts, PLEASE let me know. Here she is as she sat when I got her. Tiny tires had to go. After getting bigger tires and new rims, I primed it for now to get rid of the peeling clear coat. Very bad job but it'll get the job done for now. It needs a new track bar, the passenger frame side is very very bad. Have big plans, just waiting for the cash. Thanks for looking and look forward to being involved with y'all!
