I got some friends in Austin. I also happen to work for a company out of Oklahoma City!!!
  4. I sure am glad I joined this site! Who knows what crap I would get for my MJ if I didnt have the info you all provide here. 8)
  5. well actually I figured I would put a 3-4 inch lift and then would decide i want hire and then deal with swapping the lift and paying more then just putting a 6 inch lift from the get go. I am thinking about the motion offroad or rocky road. anyone have either of these on their MJ?
  6. thanks bud. :waving:
  7. I have been looking for a good lift kit for a good price. I will either have to- buy an add-a-leaf(i do not want this type),buy a used kit somewhere, get a chepo set, or do a SOA. How ard are these to do and where is a good place to get the perches welded on?
  8. I got a Hell lof a deal on some 30x9.5r15 Buckshots with 80% tread left!!! $150 for the set. Only thing that sucks is my Libby wheels are 16's so I have to put the factory wheels back on. :ack: But, at least now I got two sets of wheels and tires, Summer and Winter, ready to go!!!! The wheels on the tires are for a Chevy Luv and I believe will also fit a toyota If anyone is interested. The guy is asking $100 for them.
  9. so for the long run the springs are the way to go. thanks!
  10. So is that hell creek a pretty good one to go with? And what do people think of AAL kits? I'm kind of on a budget.
  11. Where else would be a good place to go? I havent ordered yet. But thanks for the infol.
  12. I am ordering a 4.5 Spring pack kit from Rustys Offroad. They do have a 8" long travel kit. The only thing you would have to weld is the spring perches to the axle. the rest is bolt on. Good luck on that monster!! 8) http://rustysoffroad.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=rustys&Product_Code=RK-800LT-MJ&Category_Code=sus_xj_kit
  13. I got that S.O.B.! Lots of wd40 and some heavy @$$. I also did as told and let the engine warm up some. Thanks to all.
  14. I went to change the oil on my MJ for the first time and I can't get the damn drain plug loose. I have put all I got on it and it won't come loose. Any ideas?
  15. Thanks Wahoosteeler! The wheels were actually put on by the PO. I also got a spare Libby wheel and the factory wheels off of him also.
  16. Here are some pics of the interior and under the hood.
  17. Thanks Pete!
  18. Thanks  Hope to see some pics of your soon.
  19. As far as cutting it up, I have no desire to do that. If it was beat to hell and already ripped on I would then have some serious fun with a sawzall. I wanted just a 3" lift but all I could find with that height was a add a leaf lift and I want a spring pack. Next size up with a spring pack is a Rustys Off-road 4.5" lift, that I have found. I would like to find a good looking rear bumper, this I will attempt to build myself. I think I am going to put 31x10.5 Buckshots. Maybe a rollbar? I am fixing to take some different interior shots to put on here later. It looks goo on the inside. I have thought about a sunroof but still havent talked myself into that yet. as for the motor it is strong running. I just want a cold air intake system and a 40 series Flowmaster dumped behind the cab,I don't mind the noise. what do you all think?
  20. I just flipped it rightside up and I think your right. I like the way it looks better when it was upside down. don't know why, I'm putting it back on upside down. :dunce:
  21. everyone talking about it being rare and saying don't wheel it to hard has me worried to do anything. Maybe I should get a different Project vehicle?
  22. oops!!! Ill get right on that grill
