Its a 1988 Comanche 4.0L 6 cyl, 4x4 just over 103,000 miles, I know I've changed the oxygen sensor but no others have been changed to my knowledge.

My MJ has had a hard time starting lately, where it will start or just keep turning over and never fire. I was also driving it today and it suddenly died, but the radio was still on. So i was wondering is it the fuel pump or is it something else going out on it? Thank you

Tail lights went out tonight, didn't know it until I was pulled over. Cop was a great guy, didn't write me up and followed me to a truck stop to park it for the night, it is going into the shop tomorrow, as I can't figure it out. Hope it isn't too expensive, but, regardless, can't drive it until its fixed.

My tailpipe is rusted out bad, the exhaust system from the muffler forward is in good shape, what would happen if I just cut the rusted tail pipe off and did not replace it right away? Am planning on getting it replaced in about six weeks, just don't have the money right now. Would it cause any serious issues if I just cut it off for the time? Thank you.

Hi, Yes, it went into 4 wheel drive, had to check it twice myself. Can't remember though, if the 4 wheel drive light use to on when you start the truck or not. -
Put my Comanche in 4 wheel drive tonight, the light never came on, went into four wheel drive. Any idea what causes this? Is it just a burnt out light? Thanks again.

It acted like it was in neutral, however, after I shut if off and tried it again, it worked perfectly....... -

Have an 88 Comanche with a inline 6 and auto transmission. Truck has 85,000 miles on it. Today when I started it and drive to put it into drive it didn't move, tried reverse, same thing. Shut it off, checked the trans fluid, re-started it and it went into drive and reverse with no problem. Any idea what would cause this? Please advise if you can.

I know this isn't a Comanche topic, but, I'm hoping some of you may be able to help me out with a question regarding a 1980, Jeep J20. Got a chance to buy a Jeep J20, has the 360 V8, 61,000 miles, manual transmission, body over all good, rusty passenger floor pan, rust through spot behind passenger door, no other visible rust. 4 wheel drive works well, transmission and clutch good, body ok, several dings and scrapes. What is a good price for this? Thanks again.
