No bickering from me, I was just pointing out how the names vary so much that we could go on all day. While one person may have never heard it that way, to someone else that can be the only way they have....IE soda vs pop

I don't know what that means, but you keep that kinda language on lost feller. This is a family friendly place. Also, where might I find a girl to give me a "surrey top"?

No, the "wagon wheels" were the steel 6 or 8-spoke factory rims. The turbine rims in the photos are the 10-spoke alloys that were the optional rim on the 84-89 (or 90?) XJ and 86-89 (90?) MJ. They are 15x7 ... so are the wagon wheels. No, the steel 6 or 8 spoke factory wheels were the Rally's. You are correct in that the factory called the 6- or 8-spoke steelies "Rally" wheels. But nobody actually calls them that. I haven't heard them referred to as anything other than wagon wheels for at least 15 years. I haven't heard people ever call the steelies wagon wheels in the past 16 years. While we are on the top, it's a "shell" not a cap, and not a topper. See, we could go on all day like this. it's a canopy. :rotf:

Cheapest one at walmart is $97 + tax. I have the same one, though I got it at sams club about a year and a half ago for $150(markdown from $200). Yes its slow, you press dvd eject and it takes forever, and it seems to take forever to load them too, but otherwise its a perfectly fine unit.

If also heard people call those wagon wheels.

this is a pretty good deal, though you only have 23.5 hours from time of posting to buy http://woot.com/

So when are we going to see an overhaulin MJ?
-
Just gonna resell it. Couldn't pass it up for $130.
-
If its cheap I would grab it, just having a diesel titled MJ is pretty rare, and would be good for a conversion for someone.

Didn't know that. Did you explain that? Rob L. Not when I talked to her, I had just backed out of my driveway and was on the way back from lunch, caught me off guard and in a hurry to get going.

The funny thing about all of this is I didn't even get her mulch, they dumped some off before they cut down her tree!

So we had a snowstorm about a week ago that was really wet and heavy, lots of downed tree limbs everywhere. A few days later my neighbors tree split in half, rather than try to heal it, they opted to have it cut down. Now at this time it was graduation so my parents were visiting, my mom being the person she is saw the mulch they were making and decided I needed it. I said no, no way, I don't want to deal with it, I don't want to have to move a bunch of mulch I just graduated and I want to take it easy. So we got the mulch, the company backed the truck up and unloaded about half of a pretty full truck. So we started moving a pile of mulch the size of an XJ, spent a good number of hours scattering it around the backyard. I end up just having to find places where mulch could be used I had so much, I now have a large area of my backyard(where I keep the chicken and cars) buried in about 8 inches of mulch. Fast forward to today, I run home for a quick lunch during a break. When leaving the wife of my neighbor comes and asks me if I got the mulch for free. I say yes and she tells me she may need to take some back, and that it was her mulch. She told me she paid $250 to have the tree cut down. She also says I will need to pay her for the mulch and that she will have mike(her husband) talk to me about it. So now I'm going, crap, I'm gonna have a pissed off neighbor who feels that I owe her money, or I'm gonna have to pay her money just to keep things civil. What really sucks about all this is that I'm the one getting the transference of blame here, if she was expecting that after her tree was mulched she would be getting it back she should be talking to the tree company about it. Just, arg.

At first I thought you were talking about the honda.

I signed up for the test drive thing they offered, we will see if anything ever comes of it. There's been lots of talk about this on the Liberty Diesel forum, many of these guys are interested in a small turbo diesel that the rest of the world has had for years, and want the utility of a truck. Hopefully Mahindra can make in-roads and force some smaller diesel trucks. Also, it has a 2200# payload capacity, haven't seen that in a compact truck since the MJ. :chillin:
-
Mahindra still makes old CJs........maybe that has something to do with it.
-
More than that the long trials are asymmetric, so his tires are on incorrectly right now.
-
Those are the 8 inch.
