No problem I have a bad habit of just typing not thinking. I know a lot of the diesel world by this is my first comanche I've owned. And the first gas owned in over 10 years lol.

Thank you for all the info. I know how o do a rebuild I built diesel race engines for 7 years. But I think I might just go for a nice reman with warranty just for the pure fact of gettin it back on the road. Should I got with a reman for my year or is there a better year to go for that is still bolt in?

Forgot to add its a 90 with a 4.0. Ax15.

I'm pretty shure my rings are shot. Burning a lot of oil all the time. Like a permanent smoke screen. I'm not sure if its going to be better to rebuild or just buy a reman and keep it as a spare. Or any ideas are welcome.

Thank you I'm still up I'm the air on what to do with the interior. It's the deep red or burgundy. Gotta find a better shift knob other than the current golf ball lol.

Planning on minimum 4 inch lift. Putting stock mirrors back on. I scored a instrument cluster from a XJ today from the junk yard for 20 bucks. Needs a lot of cleaning and everything maintenance wise needs up to date. It's been sitting for awhile. I'd like a new paint job and an off road style front bumper. Good news is no rust under floor or anywhere. It was fleet maintained.

Yea not shure if I want to keep it or put on the bed from the red donor truck. Really nice bed though.

I just joined up here. Awesome site I've learned a lot. I'm a MJ newbie so bear with. This is my new project. 1990 MJ with a 4.0 and not sure what manual transmission in it. 4x4. 155k on it. I already see how everyone here likes pics so ill up load some. The white one is the running one. And the red one is the parts donor. Got a 2 for one deal.
