  1. sweet, looks great! Are you going to put in a center console? I have seen some writeups on using a TJ console, but I think I am going to go with a ford suv or maybe even a chevy blazer type console. just trying to find a decent one. Anyone have sugestions? By the way did you use your bench brackets?
  2. GOT IT :!: OK it wasn't the relay, horn or an open in the circut. The steering wheel had developed a strange powder like substance on it, some may call this odd chemical reaction rust. After I cleaned it it works perfectly.....DOH!
  3. ok time to try to fix this again :? . Where and which one is the horn relay :?: This is the only thing left that is holding me up on a state inspection. Please help :!:
  4. My passenger side mounting bolts were very rusted. After gental persuasion, wd-40, visegrips, a chisle, BFH (big f*@king hammer), two skinned knuckles, and 50 new curse words they came out with no problem :D I replaced both front mounting bolts with new (to me at least) ones I got from the junkyard with the seats. I went to Joann Fabrics, they usally carry the headliner material and purchased enough to recover my headliner (I got a yard and a half for the headliner) and my sunvisor (another half yard). I removed all trim, and when I say all trim I mean ALL trim, I replaced my carpet padding when I was doing my headliner. Carefully took off the old headliner being sure not to crack it, then cleaned it up. For the spray I used locktight heavy duty permant spray adheasive (has yet to fail me) and following the adheasive directions, put on the new headliner. My only real tip for redoing headliners is to NEVER press down hard on the material when you are smoothing it out, if you press too hard you can force the glue to the surface and the material is ruined. Headliners are easy you just need to take your time and plan the way you are going to do it so you have a clear picture on the steps you are going to take. Did you get your buckets in yet?
  5. now for the avatar
  6. Sorry about th delay, just figured out how to display an image... Here is the bucket seats installed And the *modified* brackets Plus I finished the headliner and the driverside sunvisor
  7. ha ha got it!
  8. At the you pull it yard I found a cherokee doner for buckets, same track width, so I bought them. When I got home I took off (with gentle persuasion....yeah right!) my bench seat floor brackets and mounted them onto the buckets. Done, on of the easiest conversion projects I have done besides replacing my window handle. I will post pics soon.
  9. I am converting my bench to buckets and thought to my self, "Self...I wonder if they have a bench seat with a fold down arm rest?" Has anyone else wondered this, seen this or talked to them selves in the third person?
  10. Been working nights here, I went out and looked for the relay to no avail, any sugestions besidesget more than 2 hours of sleep before I try to make sense of anything? Where are the !@#$%^ relays????? Sorry I am kinda punchy... :D

  12. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the complete circut for the horn? Wire color codes would help greatly also if anyone has it.
  13. Just because I like pain and listining to my self spew out a never ending dialouge of fowl and abusive language, I decided to "try" to recover my sun visors :D . I have the driverside completely ripped apart and the cardboard is tore in two. What would be a suitable relacement and how should I put it all back together without a sewing machine :?:
