how hard is it to change a fuel regulator on a 89 2.5l TBI?

i hear you on that but i don't thinks its a amc because i had a 87 comanche and it 2.5 was a dog and didnt move worth a damn so i don't think this is the amc 2.5l cause i get on the free ways and it gets up and goes ive toped 85 on freeway it got a ax 5 manual

i no i would think the same but she wanted a fuel efficient ride cause the threw papers

i have a 89 Comanche with a 2.5l and recently my engine has been eating alot more gas then usual i used to get about 19 mpg but now it down to 8mpg when i accelerate if i floor it it dies out and like bogs but if i raise my accelerator just a little it accelerates more then when i had it floored i was told it was the reg. but i need a second opinion

i have a Comanche i just bought for 200 dollars with 35 thousand miles it originally had a 4.0 in it an the ladie swapped the engine for a 2.5l is there any other mods that need to be done to fully accommodates that engine? like a fuel pump ect.
