mvusse Posted April 29, 2008 Share Posted April 29, 2008 There is a local club here that actually holds lawn tractor and ATV pulls. You'd be amazed what some of those lawn tractors can pull. Most popular setup in the 12HP lawn tractor class is a Ford 9" with a Steiner engine. Only 12 HP, but unbelievable torque at extremely low RPM. Toward the end the tires are twisting, the front end is coming up and the engine bogged down to about 400 RPM still continues to pull the sled. Most ATVs are trikes with 400 HP V8s in them. 92comanche4x4 Posted May 1, 2008 Author Share Posted May 1, 2008 ya i wanted to race tractors for the longest time you can do so much to them i gotta do some things to it yet to make it faster i wanna make a 40mph tractor out of it put i pipe for the rear axel and weld a sproket to it that would make it fast any one have any ideas on how to make it faster?
