86 2.8l to 2.5l swap

Looking to swap my 86 from a 2.8 to a 2.5. I have a 2.5l motor out of a 86 and need to track down a harness for it. Is there a stand alone harness for them? If I track down a stock harness do I need the chassis harness? Is there a simple way to wire it up? It’s for a rock crawler I don’t need ac or anything just the basics

The 2.5L harness is pretty standalone. You will need only one wire and that’s the power wire to the fuel pump on the sending unit. And that wire needs to go from the fuel pump relay all the way to the back. I converted my 84 XJ to the Renix TBI and it’s pretty straight forward.
