J33ps
Hey Guys, I'm about to clean up some leaks under the jeep. This transfer case is leaking pretty bad. I cleaned it up when I bought the truck and as best i can tell it's coming out of the fill plug. It's also got a pinion seal leak so it's a bit hard to tell. But if my plugs are leaking how do you fix that? It's not supposed to require teflon tape but I thought it might help as it seems like NPT threads? Not sure... 89 MJ
How are the conditions of the threads on both the t-case and the plug? How tight do you have the plug?

How tight do you have the plug? I haven’t removed them yet, I never installed them. I put a wrench on them initially, they’re pretty tight but I haven’t confirmed torque yet
