72cut
I have an 88 with 4.0 It has new radiator, water pump? Thermo, hoses, fuel pump and lines. Question 1 ( yes I'm sure this has been exhaustively covered but my other two questions prob haven't so stick with me) As stated truck has new radiator, pump and thermo So I'm running the truck for first time since these things have been installed so I know there is air in system. When truck idles the temp approaches 210 when I turn it off. Hoses get hot, fluid Still drains from reservoir after truck is turned off and air still escapes when I loosen the cap so I'm still bleeding it. Now, is 210 normal? I've never let it go beyond that so I don't know how high it will go but what is normal? Because of length of this question I'll address the other two questions in separate post
TurboedMJ
Shouldn't go past 210. That is normal, mine fluctuated between 190-210. If it goes past 210, you have some other issues.
