New fuel tank issue

My OE tank developed a few rust pin holes, so I ordered a new one before dropping the origional.

Ordered this simply for convienence...

Switching over hoses now and noticed a difference in the filler neck; the OE seems to have a continuing pipe down to the sump where as the replacement just stops at the wall of the tank. 

 

Would love to get y'alls thoughts / opinions on future issues from the lack of a guide pipe to the sump.
