don't know if it's an Epic build, but there's a lot going on. '88 SporTruck

  after playing with an XJ and wanting an MJ for years, i finally picked up this '88 short bed a couple weeks ago. it's a 2.5/4 spd/2wd. cab and frame are in great shape, bed has a couple small dings, but no rust anywhere. the bed has a dent at the bottom on the right side, so i plan on cutting it from the bottom of the flare, angled up to the bottom of the tailgate and build a custom bumper that wraps from wheel to wheel to protect the bed and taillights. oh and the taillights.... are perfect, so i plan on keeping them that way! 

 

so far i have an 8" 3 link lift with upgraded shocks, WJ front brake kit, over axle track bar kit, HD Heim steering, 35" Cooper STT Pros. 15x10 Soft 8 wheels, Rusty's front Bumper, 5.3/4L60E, D30 HP (with truss kit, tube sleeves, 1/4" lower control arm mounts and "C" gussets) and Chrysler 8.25. 

 

i ordered LS swap harness, front and rear lockers, 4.56 gears, chrome moly axle kit and a G2 rear diff cover. 

 

hope to get the LS mounts, headers, radiator and fans, rock sliders, steering box brace and truss kit for there 8.25 coming in the next couple days.

 

making a trip to the local recycler to grab a rear disc swap and flat driveshaft flange from a KJ Liberty early next week, and trying to find a 97-98 XJ to get the front end and interior from. 

 

the 5.3 is getting a BTR cam, trunnion upgrade, LS2 intake, swap oil pan and pick-up, and Camaro or Corvette accessories (whichever i can find). 

 

to top it all off, it's getting painted single stage white (easier to touchup), with reproduction SporTruck decals in black! still in the parts gathering stage because i want to build the axles out of the truck and install the lift at the same time.

i loaded them to the post not sure why they show up as attachments.

I see them, but they are still a linked image.  you can load them directly to the CC from your phone or laptop.   that way Imgur can't pull a fast one (like some other hosting sites) and kill the links in the future.
