Snowplow Posted October 21, 2007 Share Posted October 21, 2007 Whell the good old TQ 904 automatic in the 86 mj has died :mad: I hate auto's and i want to make it a 5 speed, I was wanting to know if i used a T-5 manual out of a S10 and T-case, would it fit since the 2.8 is chevy. I know i need the pedels out of a comanche, and the rest of the parts off of the S10. but other then trans mount problems and drive shaft diffrences is their anything els i'm missing? any info helps thanks. and yes both trucks are 4x4 the s10 and comanche. JeepcoMJ Posted October 21, 2007 Share Posted October 21, 2007 a t5 will work, some jeeps were equipped with that...not many, but they were so when jeep ran short of ax5's. you'll need to run a np207 t-case or something of the sort (231, 242, etc) but it must be driver's side drop. you'll need to track down the correct mounts or alter yours to work (should be close anyways), and driveshaft length will be different.
