I'm not sure, but think it is original. I cleaned it up. Tried threading it on a standard thread bolt, and it seemed really tight. Tried it on a 8mm bolt, and it seemed tight, but better. Had to hold the bolt in the vise to get the wing nut started, but then it went on smooth. If you would like an original (I think) air cleaner wing nut, it is Free. Just pay shipping. And might want to confirm the threads are 8mm (thread size, not bolt head size). I've got a small collection of other parts (courtesy lights, ashtray lights, buzzers, hazard knobs, headlight delay boxes, blower switch connectors, S10 Blazer dome lights, etc), if you were interested in something else, I could throw this in the package.
