Try the HELP! section at your local auto parts emporium. The socket that fits the XJ/MJ front parking lights (and possibly the rear, as well) happens to be a Ford socket. ruralandalone
Thanks for all of the help. I have found and repaired the various shorts, added trailer wiring, and set up the extra bulbs to show brake and turn signals. I t took a while, but I am just grateful the problem was not in one of the impossible to reach spots. Could definitely have been worse!
Eagle
Did you set it up to work like an MJ, with the brake lights, turn signals, and hazard flashers all combined, or did you set it up like the XJ and the ranger, with the turns and hazards separate from the brake lights? ruralandalone
Like the MJ. I did not want to run extra wires - I have spent quite a bit of time on it just getting the problems fixed. A changeover is still a good idea, but I have other priority work to do on it first....
