ratty Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 I've been getting this crunchy sound when I accelerate from a stopped position or when I turn. It's hard to describe, but it doesn't sound like a grinding. More like if you cracked your back or knuckles sound. I can feel it too when I'm driving. It's not too loud, sort of muffled. I checked my u-joints and they're still good, I got new tie rods and bushings too. I don't even know where to look next. Thanks. Figured it out: Turns out my trans mount was bad which was making the exhaust pipe hit the trans bracket when I accelerated.
HOrnbrod Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 Jack up each front wheel separately and check for lateral play and/or noise when you spin the wheel. Sounds like a wheel bearing problem.
