Ruxus
Hi Guys Got a really odd issue here. Drove the car fine all day, then parked it at work for 5mins, come out, turn key, nothing hapends. And I mean nothing, no humming from fuelpump, no crank, radio, fan, nothing comes on. Battery is ok, all my aux lights work and I just charged it. All main battery cables are fine. Could it be something with the ignition switch in the column? Ignition switch ground or something Really don't know where to start. Oh, and I need to pickup the little ones at soccer practise in 15 min Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
Pete M
my truck is notorious for getting a little bit of corrosion film buildup between the battery terminals and the cables. juuuuust enough to kill the power. gotta regularly pop them off and clean the connection surfaces with steel wool. Ruxus
Ah was just about to post, found the culprit. Seems there is a 40amp main fuse, hooked up to what I think is the starter solenoid?. It was blown, might just make it to soccer practise, lolSkickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk

Ruxus
Ah, was to fast. Changed and, got ignition working, just heard the starter click, then it blew again. Must be a serious short somewhere.....Anyone know if this fuse is stock, bcs someone just filed off a piece of the fuse legs and slid it in a pair of yellow flat socketsSkickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
Ruxus
Could there be a short in the starter. Know that I think of it, the starter has had some hiccups lately. It turns over then stops fo half a sec then turns over and starts. Or could it be the starter solenoid. Gonna start by checking all connections. After soccer practise......Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
