89 2.5 manual. Left me stranded the other day. Nothing keyed would work. Replaced the ign switch. It's good. Started playing with wires. If I connect the constant hot to the starter relay wire it cranks, but as soon as I add the yellow wire it stops. Driving me crazy. Any ideas or calming words much appreciated.

After some more checking I found it's a bad connection in the constant hot wire. There's 12v until a load is placed on it. Then there's nothing. Remove the load, 12v comes back. Checked fusible links by pulling on them slightly, none moved. Since there's several all together, which one goes to the ignition switch. I checked with an ohm meter, one set has 10k ohms, and the other set has 575.

Fyi found the issue. The wire from the fusible link to the ignition switch was corroded and barely hanging on at the bulkhead connector.
