Took my jeep out for a test drive after installing the lift, went to make a left hand turn and the steering bound up and snapped the stearing box off the frame. The Drag link seams to be out of wack. Even with adjusting it, the steering wheel still could turn about halft to a full rotation if it wasnt connected.

I have a 5 inch lift, 1.25 inch drop pitman

Any ideas on what was wrong?

Thanks

did you replace your trackbar? With that much lift the axle likely isn't centered, I don't know if that can do weird things with the linkage geometry or not.

Best way to center the axle is by eye. Basically remove the trac bar and steer the axle till it looks straight. Then attach the trac bar and all the steering. The cycle your steering to make sure that it won't limit your wheel s from going side to side.
