98jeepsrt8
Hey guys, I've been snooping around this site for a while now. Never really posted anything, but I'm stuck and need some help. Hopefully one of you fine gents can lend me a hand. I bought a 89 Comanche a few months back. The PO started ripping it apart to (what he said) do a v8 swap. The 4.0 Rennix that was in it didn't run. So I took it out. The PO tore the interior apart already. I picked up a motor and tranny along with engine wiring harness out of a 95 Cherokee. My problem is I didn't get a chance to see where everything went and I'm having one hell of a time figuring out where everything goes. The wiring harness that goes behind the dash mainly. I'm using the 89 HVAC box. Hopefully that will work for me. I already replaced the Heater core since I had it out. I'm missing some screws to remount it in the cab. So that's the problem I'm at right now. But I already installed the plug that connects the under hood harness and the behind the dash harness. I just don't know where all the wires go. My friends aren't any help, and I can't seem to find anything online to help me. If anyone has any picks that might help me figure out where all the wires go and how they are run id greatly appreciate it. I'm stuck and I'm at the point of just ripping it all out and dropping a carbureted v8 in it and calling it a day. But id much rather the 4.0 because I already spent the money on it and started doing the rebuild. So if anyone has any info/pics to help me out, id love you forever. gogmorgo
I've got the dash harness from a '93 in my basement, with labelled ends. I'll see if I can get something up tonight after work if no one else has by then.
