tylergrant2011
For some reason neither front turn signal for my 87 work. There is power getting there because I can stick my test light on the hot wire of either signal and the test light will blink when I turn the blinker on. I was thinking maybe both sockets are bad for the turn signals but that sounds kinda odd. Has anyone else experienced these problems?
Rockfrog
yep had to replace two sockets prior to doing my 97+ front end swap, ran one for a bit just by running the ground around and into the socket ... didn't even know I was doing it until the front end swap. i guess the prior owner had the same issue and didn't feel like fixing it. Either that or your bulbs are burnt out ...
tylergrant2011
Bulbs aren't burnt because they are brand new. They must be notorious for a bad ground or some thing because I can see where moisture got into both sockets and rust has started to develop and there is no way of taking them apart
Tanner
I also have an issue with a bad ground on mine, when I back probe the socket with with a test light and the bulb still in it the bulb will cut on and function as intended, I have not gotten around to fixing the issue just yet. But I would be interested in seeing what you turn up. I will however be making my own led turn signals and scrap the junk sockets in the front.
