jpdriver1
Picked this up awhile ago -- wife rolled her eyes for 20 min when I got home with it --- luckily it was free. Had to sell the road bike a few yrs ago hoping this will fill the void. It is super blazer made in salt lake Utah, around 1960. Was built by one of the founders of Tote Gote bikes. Currently has an 8 hp B&S engine with two speeds. If the engine will not revive, got my eye on a 10 hp electric start replacement.
Doc.
Nice, for that price I would have grabbed it too! Interesting drive line. Looks like variable speed belt drive? to a transmission and chain. Makes me wonder what top speed was.

HOrnbrod
No way it will fill the road bike void mate. But have fun with it.
jpdriver1
thanks horbrod --- the road bike was an LAPD motor that had been replaced by the kawasaki's. the motor officers were allowed to keep the old ones if they wished. when I got it, the red/blue lights and siren were still on it, the officer (friend of family) used it for parade & funeral work. jpdriver1
update --- was able to free-up the front brake. It is drum style but the actuator rod was frozen from age/neglect. After a week of soaking in motor flush and a little help from the persuader, it moves freely. Next step will be to reinstall and get a new cable and handle.
