Twisty Posted June 10, 2007 Share Posted June 10, 2007 Went wheeling yesterday, bent my tie-rod at 7PM 1/4 mile from the trail end. Spent close to 2 hours trying to fix it, but ty spare rod's TRE threads were f'ed and I couldnt use it.......and it was raining. There were 6 other rigs behind me, one of which had no front drive shaft. We simply didnt have time to fix my rig. It was dark, and raining, so I had to pull it off the side, and leave it. We didnt get off the trail till 11PM and many people didnt get home till 1:30AM Very scary. I pulled the tie-rod off the '86 MJ and went out there this morning with my Cherokee, and put that on. Long story short, the MJ is back in my driveway, and home safe. Good thing it was only 30-40 miles away. DirtyComanche Posted June 10, 2007 Share Posted June 10, 2007 I left my XJ half way up a mountain in the middle of winter... 4 days of wondering if anybody had decided to turn it into a barbeque.
