Jeepjeff859 Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 1986 2.5 cly ok so i posted the other day about having a random shut off and a dead battery and i thought i fixed the problem by replacing the alternator cables. But today the same thing happened again. on the meter it showed the alternator putting out 12 volts and as i reved the engine it started to drop slowly down to 9 volts. i had the it tested and it tested fine since it is new. can anyone post a picture of a 86 2.5 so i can see if all the wires are hooked up correctly?
