Twisty
Some shocks come with bar pins already installed, and some come with just eyes (I noticed this while looking at Skyjacker shocks). Which would I want? Is it normal to pull out the bar pin form the old shocks, and use them for the new application? Here are the links. With bar pin. http://www.quadratec.com/products/16016_208.htm Without bar pin. http://www.quadratec.com/products/16016_212.htm These are for the front of an MJ with around 6.5" of lift. Thanks. Oizarod115
you have to buy BPE (bar pin eliminators) for the front of an XJ/MJ which i think give you a 2" (correct me if I'm wrong) drop of the shock mounting point. but you can remove the BP from the shock and use the shock, idk about puttin and old one back in, CW did it in his project thread not to long ago i think. JeepcoMJ
buy the ones with the bar pins, those are for the front. the rears can't have bar pins...but you can remove the bar pins at a very minor risk to the bushing. usually ya buy the fronts, and the rears. not a set of 4 matching ones. Twisty
I already have rear shocks, and just need the fronts. I don't really want to do BPEs now. I'll get the shocks that have the bar pins in them then. Thanks guys!
