jmderyke Posted April 8, 2015 Share Posted April 8, 2015 I have a 86 np 207 and I'm looking to put in the 231 21 spline in behind my ax5. I have the cable speedo and most 231 21 spline have the electric speedo. Anyone know if I can keep my old cable speedo with a different speedo gear? Or what parts I would need? AeroNautical Posted April 9, 2015 Share Posted April 9, 2015 You need to keep the long shaft speedo gear for a 231. When I put my 99 231 in, I took the e speedo out and swapped in the speedo from my Peugeot tranny, worked like a charm.
