jeepxdoug
We found a 92 MJ on line and couldn't pass it up. (It ran) The kid who had it had given up. No wonder. First off he obviously felt that even if there were 20 screws holding something on, he only needed to replace one. The other screws he used other places whether they fit or not. (jammed threads broken plastic and such as a result.) He got some Ford wheels and spacers (unbalanced) put them on and wondered why it couldn't be driven above 45 without wobbling off the highway. We have nice rims and tires on it now and it even drives well. I have been afraid to put it in 4WD yet but supposedly the transfer case he hooked up works. (fingers crossed) 220000+ miles on her but who cares. It is a nice rig and will join the BlackoutJC ranks. http://jeepx.organd will be at the XXX show (that is XXX as in triple X drive-in with damn good root beer) Now as soon as I can afford the parts..... jeepxdoug
I wonder how many on this group know what "monkey $#!&" is... There are so many holes drilled in this Comanche that we had to use a LOT of it. I had to remove and refit the heater blower and gasket. I didn't trust the gasket to keep water out and besides there was a large hole in the rubber below it that let water flow into the cockpit so more monkey $#!&. Well sealed and dry. jeepxdoug
I wonder how many on this group know what "monkey $#!&" is... Oops... Sorry, I didn't know that word was forbidden. But that is what it is called. #1 definition. It is a non-hardening putty that is sticky and can be used to fill holes. At the Washington State Patrol we used it to fill the holes where we ran wires for all the equipment. Doug
jeepxdoug
I really like the front end all white. It just looks cleaner to me. Saving my shekels for bumpers.

jeepxdoug
Added a new front bumper and bull bar. The winch is next when I have the money, Which bumper is that, jcr? It is a SmittyBuilt. My son gets a discount from 4 Wheel Parts and they have been improving the quality of Smitty Built products. It is well built and HEAVY. I couldn't lift it into place. But then again I have lost some strength <GRIN>

jeepxdoug
Yes as I recall it is. My son does most of the work for me. He runs a Jeep repair and build business on the side(time permitting). He gave me the Comanche and we have been building as time and money allow.
