KennyK
I m looking at a 4.5" lift. I have a 88 2wd short bed, and my plan is to do Baja look going with fiberglass fenders. I have been shopping for lifts and the prices are all over the place. From a Zone for $549 free shipping to a Rustys for $699 + $156 shipping for a total of $855 befor I do a shock upgrade and there steering upgrade. I priced everything out and came up with a total of $1567.00 I call them to get some tech info plus to see if that was the best they could do on the price the girl got a little snappy ands said that's the price and I could buy it or not. Any one ever deal with them or is there any one else out there to deal with.
Incommando
So are you going for a poser "look" or will you use it the way it looks like it is used? There is a big difference. But be brutally honest here as you will be happier with the end result if you are.
Tommy
There's also a difference between occasional fast desert runs and real jeepspeed stuff. Drop brackets, 4.5 coils and good shocks, track bar, Chevy brake lines, deaver leafs and matching shocks will suffice for moderate use. But if you really want to run you need to beef up the uniframe and front dummy axle and put a stronger rear end in. I'd go with a later explorer 8.8 with a locker. And if you're going all out might as well go long arm instead.
