cgl61
Hi Everyone. I've been into the Jeeps for some years now. I just got done doing a TJ and have been looking for a 2 door XJ since I gave up trying to find an MJ. I haven't seen either for years as both are hard to locate in decent shape for a good price. Well look what is sitting less than 1 mile from my house. 89 sport sb. 4.0 with 5 speed. 103,000 miles. Absolutely no rust or damage. Faded peeling original paint, some surface rust a couple places. Original decals bad. Torn up bench seat. Looks like the original spare hanging under the bed. Pretty basic. Original stock wheels. I would say as stock and untouched as can be. It has been a wash truck at a Mercedes dealer for the last 7 years and stored inside when not being used to haul around the pressure washer to spray off the cars and lot. Salt free environment complete life. Clean as new underneath. And what appears to be a factory roll bar? Some sort of spray in bed liner also. Huge snow and sub zero temps here yesterday in PA and they are closed today. I'm going to drive hopefully tomorrow. $3500 buys it. What do you think? Like all of us I need another project like a hole in the head.

cgl61
That dream may have been short lived. Jeep has been sitting for weeks. I didn't get it yesterday because of weather. I texted my buddy an hour ago to say I'll take it and someone put money down on it yesterday. Have to wait to see if they show up with the cash tomorrow now. I had a set of 2013 Rubi takeoffs with new rubber all lined up from another guy to create a RubiTruck. Oh well, the old adage of you snooze you lose bit me in the rearend on this one.
