dj5
89 swb eliminator 4.0 renixwhen going any speed I hear a "wah wah wah wah...etc" type sound coming from what sounds to me like the front end.PO said he completely replaced front end about 6 months before I purchased and sat in his yard since.tires look brand new and have the counterweightswhen going about 50+mph I get a shake/vibration that gets worse the higher the speed and does not go away but it is not bad enough to where I can't drive it on the highway at 80mph but it is very annoying as when going a constant 80 is shaking pretty bad.however, being that I think the noise is coming from the front end, I do not feel the steering wheel shake or my @$$, more of an all around vibration.also it does drive straight, does not pull to either side.I'm trying to be as informative as possible as it is very annoying.any thoughts on what this could be? dj5
thinking maybe an alignment and possibly a wheel bearing is first thing I will try...
Eagle
2WD or 4WD? If 4WD, check the front drive shaft.

dj5
by the way, does not necessarily "shake" until about 50mph, before then its the wah wah sound
