wpnsdog
I have an 88 Pioneer, with an 86 2.5 in it. I just put a new starter in it and now there is no power anywhere in the rig. I believe I hooked everything back up correctly, so I am really confused. When I lost the previous starter, I could turn the key and all of the lights etc. came on. No there is nothing when I turn the key. I noticed that when I got done, there was an orange wire, had been in the same bundle as the positive battery cable, that I don't know where it goes. I really need to get this thing running. HELP.
Jargon
That stray wire may have pulled out of the end of the cable or something. Try to connect it to the positive battery cable/terminal and see what happens. Maybe put the keys in the ignition to and touch that cable to the positive and see if the lights/beeping come on inside the cabin. Risk seems minimal to me :D
wpnsdog
Thanks for the info Jargon. Messed with that wire and the positive cable still nothing. I can't remember exactly how the old cables looked, as I replaced both positive and negative. Anyone maybe have a picture of how they should look hooked up? 8valvehero
There's 2 wires that go to the pos terminal. One bolts directly to the starter. The other bolts to the accessory power/relay area directly behind the battery.I bet it's that one. Nothing works without it.
